I had seen something similar to this on the web and thought I'd try it today. Firstly, I gave the kids sellotape rolls to make circles on the paper- this took a bit of poking out of tongues but they got there in the end! Next I told them about overlapping circles and pointed out how that made different 'sections'. They coloured them in from there. I have two very different children, one that likes to follow her own colouring 'rules' and one that throws caution to the wind and does what he feels like! I love how they turned out and they remind me of Miro paintings.

circle drawings
